Huckabee Grants Pardon for Rocker Keith Richards
Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee has granted Keith Richards, famed lead guitarist for the Rolling Stones, a pardon for a 1975 reckless driving conviction in Arkansas. Huckabee plays bass guitar in a band called Capitol Offense.. Richards paid a $162.50 fine after pleading guilty to the reckless-driving charge in Fordyce District Court. In July, Huckabee said the pardon application came about after he met Richards backstage at a Stones concert in North Little Rock on March 9. He has likened the pardon to his presenting someone with an "Arkansas Traveler" certificate, which is given as a hospitality gesture. Huckabee, a Republican, is considering running for president in 2008. Take a look at a couple of photos from the event. The video is coming soon!
